How does responsibility guide Hoffmann innovation?

Aware of our responsibilities, here at the Hoffmann group we act according to a clear strategy, respectful of the environment, with the women and men of our company at the heart of what we do and through managerial and technical innovation, all while paying very close attention to our customers, economic performance and sustainability demands. At Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies we believe an environmental transition requires companies to be not only responsible, but also to make a positive contribution. This is why an intentional CSR approach has been implemented and why the entire company will be regularly audited.

An evaluation that positions Hoffmann Green at the “Impactful innovator” level

This means considering the context and analysing economic and financial stakes, of course, but it also involves paying attention to the extra-financial dimension.  

Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

As a company that is in contact with many stakeholders, Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies accords great importance to the responsibility required to carry out its business. This means considering the context and analysing economic and financial stakes, of course, but it also involves paying attention to the extra-financial dimension.

Heads of state, top officials of the United Nations and representatives of civil society met in September 2015 for the 70th session of the UN General Assembly and together they adopted the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals form a sustainable, universal and ambitious development programme, a programme “of the people, by the people and for the people”.

Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies believes companies must play a leading role to advance social, economic and human development in order to reach the Sustainable Development Goals.

To go beyond the ESG (environmental, social, governance) approach mentioned previously, Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies decided to undergo an evaluation to determine the degree to which the company offers solutions to the greatest sustainable development challenges.

With a maximum score of 100% for all evaluation topics (scope, reach, performance), Hoffmann Green achieved the “major contribution” level.

A promising level of ESG maturity

Despite being a young company, Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies surpasses companies of the same size. What’s more is that we have positive perspectives for improvement in the short term.
With a maturity level evaluated at “moderate +” in 2019, an already mature base was identified in terms of values, professionalism, shareholder and client-partner relations, institutional ecosystem, environmental approach and talent recruiting.
The margins for progress on the CSR are real. The company executives decided to implement a continuous improvement approach with actions that have already been clearly identified: starting from an already positive base, the forecast is favourable from an extra-financial perspective.

A proactive and intentional CSR commitment plan

Social responsibility has guided the Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies strategy since the company was created. Through 3 foundational roles – responsible partner, responsible producer and responsible employer – Hoffmann implements sustainable levers for growth, based on innovation and a shared humanity/ethic. The Hoffmann group works for the common good and in service of the collective interest for its partners, employees, region, as well as for future generations.
